Since I moved into my own place, I've discovered the wonderful world of cooking, leaving the jars, ready meals and cakes in the supermarket in favour of Fresh ingredients. Nothing has been more satisfying than making curry from scratch. I was so surprised how simple a curry paste is to create from the necessary spices, herbs, and everything else that goes into making it. A few minutes of preparation and it is ready to use in place of the ready made stuff you buy in the supermarket, with the added bonus that it tastes even better (and you can tune it to your own taste and tolerance for spice!)
Next time you reach for a jar of anything, ask yourself, "Can I make this myself?"
