As I open up my eyes I look across at you, Staring at the ceiling You are awake too
As I look upon your face It makes my heart feel good Your hand reaches out for mine Just as I knew you would
We've been a couple for so long Built a life together When we said till death us do part I hope that meant forever
I look across at your face So familiar and strong Never want it to change I've loved it for so long
Laughing eyes, light hazel And mischief in your smile Long long legs and body strong Your hairs been grey for a while
We've been through such a lot We've seen so many things The good times and the bad times We've dealt with what life brings
As I look at your face I realise that we've aged But I wouldn't change a thing Of what our life has staged
As you lay here next to me And I feel your bodies heat I know it moments just like this You can never beat!!
