Didn't bother to get changed Don't think it will rain today?
The sky got darker as we walked I looked and looked again Debating it in my head Will or won't it rain?
Walked down to the park The dog was full of play Threw the ball 100 times Then set off home a different way!
Started off toward the lane The rain began to fall Heavier and heavier It let us have it all!
Walking up the lane The earth grew thick like glue Every step I took I sank Then i lost my shoe?
The suction of the mud too much the rain it still poured down So annoyed my best red shoe All I could do was frown!!
I carried on with one shoe We finally made it home Both me and the dog Wet through to the bone!
I'll go back tomorrow To see if I can find My beautiful red shoe That got left behind?
