Fancied a weekend away, Butlins at Skegness, Got a deal through on the phone, Pay half price or less!
Looked at the "big weekend", Worked out that we could go It was on Allan's birthday And it's, "Disco inferno"
Travelled up Friday night Checked in to our room Went to find the disco lights And hear the music boom!
We stayed out till the early hours Jimmy James on stage, We danced into the night And we forgot our age!
Next day we walked to Ingoldmills, To see what was there? Pubs a market and some shops, Plus a great big fair!
Odyssey and Heatwave too, All these acts on tour! Off we went Saturday night To disco dance some more!
Skegness we went on Sunday, We took the big red bus, Lovely beach, lovely town And the weather was good to us!
We had a big Sunday roast, And watched the Villa play I'm glad they didn't loose Allan's team on his birthday!
Thank you, Skegmessy! We've had a real good break Swimming, spa and skittles too, And danced until we ache!
Monday morning breakfast, Our weekend is all done! But we'll be back, another day Because we had such fun!
