Just went in - as ya do....
There's a woman askin for advice for her 7yr old daughters behaviour, said daughter apparently is spiteful and nasty to her mother....
I really really wanted to comment but I thought better of it....
I too have a 7yr old daughter with an attitude that seems to be growing daily!! But....I'm her mother. She is my daughter. I am an adult. She is a CHILD!! If we don't lead our children how can we expect our children to lead their own???

My 2 have learnt that the truth is always better, no matter how bad the truth is....that's our moto, we don't use words like - hate or stupid - and if we're feelin a little "irritable" we go to our room until our happy face comes back!! I love my babies do much! They're good kids! :-))) hence why I didn't comment on her status, our society seems positively petrified of chastising our young...fuck that for a game of soldiers! I didn't become a mother to be bossed around by my offspring!!! Ha! Man up -so to speak- and sort out your business!! Oooo makes me a bit mad lol x
@cassandra82 Glad it's not just mine! My daughter (8y/o) can get really out of line with her mum. Unfortunately I'm not with them anymore but do get to see my little girl every couple of weeks. I don't often get her bad attitude but I guess that's understandable. My ex and I try to take a similar tack to your own: it's really good to see some fearlessly strong parenting out there :-)
@Maunder that's quite possibly the most positive comment you could've given me, thank you. It must be hard not seeing your daughter but I truly believe, as long as your daughter knows you'll always be there for her! The added bonus that you and your ex are not "pussy footing" around your kids is fantastic in my eyes! All these so called doctors giving this theory and that theory as to how we should be bringin up our children, has just softened us parents, allowed the government to almost take away our right to parent the way we see fit ( clearly some cases are the complete opposite and don't deserve their children at all! ) and the only result I can see from this is more kids are growin up believing they are untouchable and can get away with anything they like equally a rise in crime, gangs etc! Where are the parents then? At home shrugging their shoulders sayin - what can we do? The government says we can't discipline our children!!! It's a joke!! Oh, I've ended up ranting again....apologies!! ;-P
