I am a War Baby, Born in 1942, I am a War Baby, Im of many, not a few.
My father swept away in War, While my mother wept at home, My brother soon to join him, To go to strange lands and rome.
I am a War Baby, Born in 1942, I am a War Baby, Im of many, not a few.
Left all alone, Were me and my mother, She never left my side, Especially with the soon death of my brother.
I am a War Baby, Born in 1942, I am a War Baby, Of many not a few.
At the end of the War, We were elated, We waited for my father, When we got a letter, devastated.
I am a War Baby, Born in 1942, I am a War Baby, Im of many not a few.
I can now say, I wasn't all that sad, With the loss of my brother and father, That must make me seem bad, But see I was only a baby, So I cant really remember, But Im so glad I wasn't my mother, I don't know how she made it through.
