I know I don't know much And I know I'm still just a teen But treating me like I'm two months old Won't let me stand, only lean
I need to learn things on my own And figure out what's right and wrong You always give away the ending And never let me wonder long
I know I'm you're baby girl But only in your eyes You need to see I'm growing up You need to realize
I'm becoming my own person And thinking my own thoughts It shouldn't matter if they're like yours It shouldn't matter if they're not
I need to be alone If only for a little while I need to become the young lady I am I am no longer a child
