1) They will not lick your face.
3) They can keep themselves occupied for hours when you're not with them.
4) They are independant and not overwhelmingly friendly.
6) They will have realised I missed out five.
7) A cat's purr has been proven to lover stress and blood pressure. (!)
8) Some cats (including mine) will sleep quietly in their beds all night-I.e not waking you up barking.
9) They do not poo on the lawn.
10) Cat's 'gifts' of frogs, mice and birds may be a pain but they're just telling you they love you in their own way. They are also keeping your house vermin free.
