I'm adding a short(ish) bio giving my last 40 odd years. Born in NE Scotland in the year of the monkey and the Tet offensive, to parents of military stock, which happened to be a precursor. Very average student and moved schools as well as home every couple of years, as is such life in the Forces. Joined the military in the mid 80's albeit not in my chosen trade but this was to prove worthwhile. After the first five years, I moved to a new unit which deployed to Saudi Arabia as part of the build up for GW1. Spent a year in the Gulf in various countries, fulfilling various operations. This lifestyle followed for the best part of the next twelve odd years, some jobs good, a lot bad, some downright dodgy and let's just say, if I was a cat, I'd probably be down to my last one or two lives. When not deployed to either GW1, GW2, Afghanistan and other hostile places, I served in the UK, working or training for a total of twenty three years. Since then, I've worked on oil rigs in the north sea, training the untrainable, worked out in Afghanistan as a civilian contractor and West Africa for a gold exploration company. Now, I am looking for a new role that will see me through to retirement. I'm married and have a young son who is just amazing. I like hillwalking, literature, music, bushcraft, fishing, fitness training, traveling, F1 and a host of other things. That's more or less me. I've found out a couple of things over the last four decades;

- no point ranting or bleating at the world for what ever injustice, no-one really cares, no-one owes you anything and ranting turns people away. - Not all friends are as reliable as you or they think. - Never agree to something you can't deliver.

That's me. Stop by and say hi!

Tally ho!
