I fear that in my generation, mankind will grow out of control, Overcrowding and violence will be its fall. I fear that in my generation, people will forget to care, In such a huge world is there any room in our hearts to spare? I fear that in my generation, the environment will diminish and die Then we would sit in a concrete world and cry. I fear that in my generation, no one will be unique There will be too much and everything would over peak. I fear that in my generation, the fields and forests will perish And the fires of industrial production would relish I fear that depression would overwhelm the world There would be no space to bury our loved ones, We would dig too deep for fuel and awake a sleeping terror,
I fear that when that time comes, When mankind is destroying itself, How then will I protect my loved ones? Although they are few, where would we run? Where would we hide from the violence and depression? There is no escape from the inevitable future, And that, is my biggest fear.
