Days came and went and before you know it, it was Friday. I got dressed and hopped in my truck wanting to hurry up and meet this Octavius fellow. I tried to get to the mall as quickly as possible. When I got there I went in hopeing he would find me. On my way in I bumped into Jack, the guy I'd had a crush ever since I could remember. "Hey," he said smiling. "Oh hey," I said returning his smile. "How've you been?," he asked me. I took a quick glance at my phone. I was a little early and had time to kill so I figured I could stop and chat for a little while. "I'm ok and you?," I asked. "Eh about the same, I've seen around school a few times. I've actually been meaning to ask you something for a while but you always seem like you're busy or something," he said. "Oh I've been working on a research paper," I said, slightly smudging the truth a bit. "Really," he said, "what is it over?" "Ummm...," I said trying to think up topic. "Jadelynn!," said a male voice from behind me. I spun around to see Octavius heading my way. "You must be Octavius," I stated. He nodded. "Octavius, this is my friend, Jack. Jack, this is Octavius," I said. Jack kind of gave me a look of suspicion as he shook Octavius's had. "Well Jack, will you be joining us?," he asked. "I'm afraid not, I was just leaving," he said. He turned to me "I'll text you ok?," he asked. "Ok," I said. "It was nice meeting you Octavius, we should all get together sometime," he said. "Nice meeting you too," Octavius said. As Jack walked away I couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt. "Let's get down to business shall we?," he ask.
