That week flew by fast. Friday was here before I knew it. It was almost as if it'd had snuck up on us. Surprisingly we hadn't seen the first sign of Slenderman that week which was a good thing because we needed all the sleep we could get before Friday. I remember waking up to the sound of Octavius's alarm clock. I reached over and smacked the snooze button and curled back up into his arms. I couldn't go back to sleep though. I laid awake waiting for Octavius to wake up. After five more minutes the alarm clock went off again and he woke up. "Good morning," he said kissing my forehead. I smiled and replied with "good morning." "Are you ready for the cast?," he asked me. I nodded my head. "Ok," he said. We got up and I got ready. I jumped in the shower and washed quickly, careful not to bump my hand on anything. After I got out Octavius got in. I decided to start breakfast while he was bathing. I made toast and eggs and bacon. By the time Octavius was dressed and out of the shower, breakfast had been made. We both sat down and ate. After we cleaned our plates we loaded up into Octavius's car and went out to the doctors. When we got there we went to the waiting room and sat for what seemed like forever. "Jadelynn," I looked up to see a young nurse standing in the doorway. "If you will follow me, the doctor will see you about your cast," she smiled kindly. I got up and followed her back to the doctors office. He was already there, studying the X-rays of my hand. "Well, you're very lucky that you won't need surgery," he said staring at me. I smiled, "That's a relief." he examined my hand and put it in a cast saying, "You'll have to wear it for at least six to nine weeks." "The sooner the better," I mumbled as Octavius and I left. We went back to Octavius's house. We were quiet the hole way there. It made me a little sad. When we got back to his house he got out, came around, and opened my door for me. I got out and we both walked into his house. He forced me to sit down on the sofa as he paced the floor in front of me. Finally after a few minutes I looked up at him. "What is wrong with you?," I asked. He looked at me. "I...," he paused, "are you sure you're ready to do this?," he asked. "Yes, I'm sure. The sooner we end this the faster we can spend the rest of our lives together," I said. "If we get too," he said staring off into space. I walked up to him and gently took his head in my hands, forcing him to meet my gaze. "We are going to survive this," I said, staring into his eyes, "we have to." For a moment it looked like he was going to cry. I hugged him tightly. "Let's go," I said. He got up and grabbed our already packed suit cases and we headed out for the air port.
