I had grown happy, being obnoxious. Pushing people around like a owned the place. It took my mind off of the fact that I knew nothing about myself. Suddenly, there was a loud bang. A gunshot. Everyone scattered in all directions, jumping in cars, taxi's and onto busses. I stood rather awkwardly. Quickly, I ran towards the shots location. On the floor lay a twisted man, eyes wide and blank. Someone grabbed me around my neck and I clawed at their hands.
"Who are you?" the bold male voice asked.
"I... Don't... Know." I choked.
He removed his hand from around my neck and I fell into a slump on the damp Tarmac.
"You don't know? What are you stupid? Tell me your name now kid!" he demanded, his hand on his gun which was hanging from his belt.
"I don't know dude. I already told you." I gasped.
"Liar this is your last chance lass. Your name." he yelled.
I couldn't remember anything about myself, so I made up a name.
"Verity-May Brooke. Happy now." I murmured.
"Nice name lassy. You got somewhere to stay tonight?" he muttered as he held his gun loosely in his clammy palm.
I ceased the moment and grabbed his only gun, loaded it and pointed it right back at him.
"What do you want from me? Pervert. Tell me or dead. I ain't afraid." I said as I edged closer and closer to him.
"I ain't no pervert. I work for Racko Hardean. He employs people with military skills. He's an assassin. And he's hiring. Lassy I think you should join. You look like you have been sleeping rough and you have no money. Are you a hobo?" he stuttered placing his hands on his head.
Hobo? I never considered myself as an amnesiac hobo who is poor and good with military skills. I surprised myself when I grabbed his gun, maybe before my amnesia I was in the army or something.
"I guess I am a homeless lass. I'll join this Racko Hardean's organisation of Assassains. Take me." I yelled , I didn't lower my weapon. This bloke stood and told me to follow him. So I did, into the unknown. Well into the unknown even more since I har no idea where I am in this world.
