What Elizabeth was trying to reach,was her family's Anderson shelter.Only a few more paces,but the air-raid siren was already starting;Elizabeth had a worrying thought.What if those few paces were a few paces too far?What if she couldn't make it to the shelter?What if two innocent lives were lost today?But then again,Elizabeth didn't care if she died,but she cared about her baby sister.Ethel.Ethel was just a new-born.An innocent young life and she didn't deserve to die.Alot of 'what if' questions brimmed in her teenage brain. 1939.The year of the second world war.Why did this have to happen?Why couldn't there just be world peace?She wondered and wondered until she reached the shelter.
