6 December 2012
Shrouded by the mango trees,
Across deserted Kingston Bay,
In truly haunting canopies,
A phantom of the day,
The cobwebs hung like a ghastly banner,
The obscuring untamed brush,
Cloaking the derelict manor,
Exotic growth, bizarre and lush,
Sheltered amongst an exquisite river,
Weaving to the sea,
What could be seen was petite sliver,
Almost enveloped by many a Banana tree,
Branching into tributaries,
The landscape quite serene,
Though the mansion made it dreary,
It was, somehow, a pleasing scene.
