She walked over to the window,

Took a breath of some fresh air,

Looked over to the bed,

Where her boyfriend lay unaware.

She reached her hand to him,

Brushed his hair from his face,

Reminisced of all the happy times,

As a smile formed on her face.

She leaned over him so softly,

And tried not to wake him,

Laid a kiss upon his forehead,

He didn't feel a thing.

She quietly left the bedroom,

And crept down all the stairs,

While her boyfriend slept so peacefully,

As she straightened up the chairs.

She didn't think it possible,

To love someone so much,

And even though he was in the house,

She was still missing his touch.

She knew that he'd be broken,

When he realised she was gone,

She gave him one last, loving look,

She really didn't have long.

And as the light filled up

The great, big room

She knew that she would meet him again,

And really hoped that it would be soon.

For someone told her long ago,

If you find your one true love,

You'd meet them every lifetime,

And fit perfect like a glove.

So the moral of the story

Look after the one you love,

Once they have gone and left you,

They can only see you from above.

So give them all you've got

And leave it down to fate,

Because you only have one true love,

Your everlasting soulmate.
