Chapter Eighteen
A Piece Of My Heart
"Really? She must really love you Gavin" said Caden. Gavin nodded. He really loved her too. It would be hard to get over her.
After school,
Caden walks home but soon someone stops him. "Hey Caden!" someone calls out. It was Millicent She seemed very friendly but she was the devil's wife to Caden. His lips quivered as he realized who it was. "M-Millicent?" he asked. Millicent went over and started twisting his wrists. As he pulled away easily,she held a bat. Serena,who was across the street and about to get in her car she heard a scream. "Caden?" she thought as she ran across the street. When she got there,she saw Millicent hitting Caden in the back. As Caden fell,Serena's eyes turned red.
Millicent laughed. Before she was going to hit him the head,she felt a sharp pain in her neck. She started screaming. Caden got up and looked her. He saw Serena sucking her blood. He stayed there and watched. He knew Serena wasn't going to hurt him. Still,it wasn't such a pretty thing to see.
Serena dropped Millicent on the ground. Serena wiped her mouth. When she saw Caden,she felt ashamed. "Im-I'm sorry Caden". Caden bit his lips. He walks over to her. He holds her but finds its bloody. He lets go and says,"It's okay Serena,j-just be careful". Serena smiled and hugged Caden. Caden rubbed her back as he felt nervous.
"Sorry that I grossed you out too" Serena said. Caden scratched his head. "Well it was just not the most attractive thing in the world" he said. Serena laughed nervously. She tried to think of something to change the subject. "Tara moved back with her mom so,she could be with Gavin". Caden nodded. "Yeah I know. Gavin told me already". Serena bit her lips hard. She didn't know what else to say. "Listen,I'm sorry Caden. I didn't mean to scare you". Caden looked at her. "It's okay, I know you wouldn't hurt me. You love me". Serena smiled big. "Yes. You don't have a piece of my heart...you own my heart". Serena said almost to where Caden couldn't hear her. He then held her hand.
As they were walking,
Serena thought to herself. "I just killed someone for somebody I truly love and who I'll truly love forever. I know he's just the one. I just know".
