Chapter Twelve
Hope Is Fading
Worrying and crying,Daniela drives to Cher's apartment to tell her the news. The doctors said Piper might be in a coma and said to come back after a week.
"Cher we gotta tell ya something" said Camila. "What is it?" Cher asked anxiously as she saw the worried looks on the girls's faces. "Piper might be in...a coma" said Cristina. Cher gasped. "And the hell are we gonna do?" asked Camila. Eleanor shrugged as tears were welling up in her eyes. Cher sat on her couch and sighed. "Guys there's something I should've told you. You girls...had a brother named Asher. He and I were twins but he only lived for two years." The girls glanced and gasped. "Why? What was wrong with him?" asked Beatrice. "He ate dirt and one day he ate dirt but there was poison in it. The guys that worked on the garden put poison to help the garden not be eaten by bugs. Do you guys have guys that do the same?" Daniela's heart dropped to her stomach. The yard guys did came in the morning and Piper ate the dirt in the afternoon. Suddenly Daniela burst in tears. She nodded as she sat on the couch.
The girls went home,leaving Cher devastated. Cher went over to the Tubman Hills. She sat on the grass and looked up at the stars. The stars seemed to comfort her. She knew that Asher was watching over her. She wished though that he was under the stars. Being right there with her. A tear slid down Cher's cheek. She felt like hope was fading...fast. Cher lied down on the grass. She thought of her seven sisters. She only known them for a few months and already loves them dearly. She just couldn't win Daniela's heart and wondered why. "Doesn't she love me? Wasn't she happy to see me? Wasn't she a least excited to see what her long lost sister was like?" Cher thought. The worst thing about the questions in your mind just can never be answered.
"Eleanor! Help me! Yelled Camila. She was stuck under her bed. Eleanor came over and asked,"What were you thinking Cam?" Camila blushed and said"Well I was sad about Piper,so I thought to go under my bed to be sad but now that I'm not anymore,it seems that I'm stuck." Eleanor giggled and helped Camila out.
