The girl glanced at the clock, dreading for the day that had already arrived at her door. She had gotten no sleep and school was an hour away. Grumbling she took her shower, cursing the day as she did. When she realized she was going to be late if she didn't hurry, she rushed onto the bus.

The bus awaited her, and she apologized to the driver for her tardiness. The bus driver was thankfully in a good mood, so he just brushed her away and told her to take her seat. The bus took off leaving the girl to finally get some sleep. She noticed her peers around her in a ghostly pale white just before she drifted off.

Once the bus arrived at the stop light before the school the girl awoke feeling a horrible pain in her left side. She tried to comfort the pain when she noticed that she was alone on the bus. She also noticed that the seats were filled with a very dark crimson pool of blood, each and every one of them. Trying to make sense of all this the girl yelled for the bus driver fearing for the worst. The driver was nowhere to be seen, the girl looked and noticed that the bus was off in a ditch to the side of the road in which held the stoplight. She got up from her seat, putting weight on her right side and exited the bus looking all around for an answer to the bizarre happening.

This is when she noticed it. How could she not of noticed this before? On her shirt was a deep red stain, a stain that surely represented blood. "WHAT IS GOING ON?!!!" she finally screamed as she noticed the street was empty, even though it was the cities busiest.

The cars were empty. Every single car she found on the next street was empty, save for blood on seats or wallets and cell phones left behind. She couldn't take in all of the situation as she fainted onto the hard pavement.

"Ma'am?" No answer. "Ma'am!" Still, no answer. " Katy" The officer was awarded with a stir from the body he had found. Katy or the girl as she had been fondly called awoke and noticed the surrounding law enforcement and even military. She walked toward them crying with her arms outstretched begging to be helped.

"Stay back!" screamed the people, but she refused and made her way very close to them, and when this choice came the sound of a gunshot.

She heard it before she felt it. The bullet hit her right in the neck, tearing through her flesh as if it was a knife through butter. Blood followed spraying the ground behind her making the street crimson. She fell forward knowing why they did this. The pain in her side, the reason why she was the only one on the bus. People didn't have time to rescue her. All the news stories about a possible zombie outbreak had happened, she was a zombie.

The solider glanced at the girl as she crumpled, as he fought back tears. This girl was barely past 14 probably and he had ended her life. But he had to do it. Or at least that's what he convinced himself.

He turned away from the scene, just as he felt a bite on his ankle. AHHHH! he screamed jut as his comrades shot the zombie girl. He convinced himself he was fine as he got in his Humvee and returned to the base.

That night the solider felt a pain in his left side, and he felt an urge for human flesh... -------------------------------------------credit to whoever.
