A frozen calm has gripped my soul.
A silence....so still.
Emotions recede in the eye of the storm.
I have taken my fill.
Within the boundaries of my shell,
A void, so deep.
I search inside for breath of life,
But apathy doesn't come cheap.
Push my buttons,
I shall not dance.
Saddle me up,
I will not prance.
I am as placid as a lake in winter
With crust of ice.
Don't tread upon this icy shore,
It is no longer nice.
Yet beneath this cool exterior,
there's fire.
Hot, sublime.
Slip the key into the lock
Find passion upon the pyre.
Knock twice
I am not found
You've lost the key
To this playground.
