I don't know why, but there's just something about role playing online that I love. I have a second Twitter account that none of my real friends know about, that allows me to escape for a little while. It allows me to be someone else, and act as if I'm not from this world, but from Middle-earth. Some of the people I've met this way are incredible, and I know that they have the same interests before even getting to know them. If everyone was as welcoming as the LotR fandom have been, making friends would be so easy. It's not often you can say you're an Elf from the Woodland Realm, but when you do, it just feel so liberating.
