I ran down the stairs almost tripping over my cat, Jacey. Donna, Max, and Josie were sitting on my couch playing wii, how was I supposed to get them out in time?? It was already 5:40. I had twenty minutes. Where was the fire even gonna start? Was the person, possibly Ian already in my house? Max ran up to me and gave me a giant hug. Josie waved and grinned from the table. Then I got an idea on how I could possibly get the person! "hey wanna play hide and seek?" I asked enthusiastically. Max and Josie excitedly nodded. "I have to go shopping with your mom Alyssa so I guess you're home alone with Max and Josie!" she gave me a bit of a nervous look "be careful!" she added. I waved goodbye as her car pulled out of my driveway. I looked at my watch. 5:45. I pulled out my phone and texted Adam "I need you here. NOW." As I clicked send I looked at the house, nothing peculiar was noticeable. "what are the rules?" Max asked. I thought for a minute. "indoors only....and if I say game over then you have to come out automatically.. I'll be it." we ran inside the garage and I closed my eyes and started counting out loud to 60. Max and Josie slammed the door and ran inside. "12-13-14" I checked my watch. 5:49. "29-30-31-32" I hope they were ok. I didn't hear anything. I opened my eyes and continued counting. "47-48-49-50" I made my way to the door "55-56-57-58-59....60."
