I live in a region steeped in history, pristine and undeveloped, whose natural beauty competes with any 'wonder' the world has to offer. My 113 mile playground is fronted by the Atlantic, adorned with private beaches upon islands accessible only by boat.
My cities, spectacularly featured in novels, movies, and plays, have living character with moss draped canopies gently flowing with breezes upon 300 year old live oaks; whose spectacularly preserved architecture graces streetscapes with prominent, sophisticated presence.
And the artist, oh the artist - painters, poets, singers and songwriters. Some household names; others you will never know, yet equally brilliant in their craft.
And my food; what can compete with the freshness of the sea - shrimp, crab, oysters, and fish; vegetables from our gardens, and century's old recipes concocted by wisdom gleaned from a grandmother.
My land has a culture all its own, where judges and rock legends share the stage; where the well known mix with the unknown in complete equanimity; where the land is equally known for its characters as much as its character - a special
place I call home. The unique incomparable Georgia Coast.
