Chapter 2 (part 4)

"Where is everyone?" I asked, looking around the living room.

"They're all asleep. It's three in the morning. I couldn't just sleep and leave you alone though. I was so worried," she said with concern.

"I don't know what happened. Something snapped inside of me and I fell to the ground. I think I might have been trying to do too much."

"Well, you did fall to the ground but it was only for half of a second. Right as soon as you hit, water shot out from nowhere and shot you up in the sky. It looked like you were hovering over the trees. Your arms were spread out at your side and your head was facing the sky. It was the creepiest yet most amazing thing I've ever seen."

"Almost like I was flying?" I asked in a daze.

"Not exactly. It almost looked like a waterspout. You stayed in the air for a good minute until you gently floated to the ground. Every time we tried to walk up to you, the water would basically attack us and push us back. I was so scared for you. I thought you were going to drowned in all the water.

"At one point you started glowing. Your body literally looked like a flashlight underwater. We eventually had to leave you alone, though. The boys all went to sleep but I couldn't. There was no way I was going to leave my best friend like that," she said with tears swimming in her eyes. I hugged her to me and felt tears running down my cheeks, also. Then it dawned on me about what she said about it being three in the morning. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket but it was broken. The water might of gotten out of my clothes, but not my phone.

"You have to take me to my house! My parents are going to kill me!" I said and tried to stand up. My legs still wouldn't cooperate.

"I don't have my car. Maybe you could just stay the night." That's not even an option right now. My parents are going to absolutely kill me.

Somehow I pushed myself off the couch and stood up. I was going to make myself walk! I tried to take a step but I couldn't. I saw the water rushing towards me but I made it stop. My parents said something about heeling myself? I pushed water from my hand into my legs and I felt them strengthen immediately. I took a step and it felt like brand new. I ran up the stairs and looked at the rooms. Now which one is Dimitri's? 'Find Dimitri' I thought to the water and it shot out of my hand at every which way. They could definitely be helpers at time. After a couple seconds they came back to me and led my down the hall to a door.

I flung the door open and raced to the bed. Dimitri was laying there, shirtless. I paused to look at his abs. He was definitely well toned. I shook my head then put my arm on his shoulder. I shook him a little and he rolled onto his side. I shook him harder but he didn't even budge. How heavy of a sleeper can you be?! I jumped on his bed and started using it like a trampoline. He groaned and put a hand over his head.

"Get up! Get up! Get up!" I chanted over his groans. I fell to my knees beside him and pulled his hand away. He opened his eyes and glared at me. I still had my hand on his hand when I felt something weird going on.

I started seeing images of me running gleefully with someones chasing me. I laughed loudly when whoever it was caught me. I couldn't see their face but I saw their dark curly hair. The next vision was of me jumping into a pond from a waterfall. I landed almost on the person that was already in the water. It looked like I used my ability to shoot myself up a second after I hit the water. The guy was laughing the entire time. That vision vanished and another one appeared. I was standing on a dock looking down at someone with tears running down my face and huge smile. They were holding up a box with a diamond ring in it. His curly hair blowing in the wind as I nodded my head and embraced him. The visions went away and I gasped. My breathing was erratic and I was slightly sweating.

I looked at Dimitri and he was breathing hard too. I shook my head and pulled my hand away from his. He was fully awake now and looking at me with awe.

"Did we..." I trailed off and he nodded. Oh god. Now what am I going to do? I really need to get home. I can't get him to take me home now. I crawled off his bed and walked away without another look. Jerica was walking into a bedroom but I stopped her.

"I really need to get home. Can't you take Alec's car? My parents have probably already put out a missing persons report," I said and gave her my puppy dog eyes. I know she can't resist them. She sighed and nodded once before walking into–who I assumed is–Alec's room. She walked out a minute later with Alec.

We were riding in the car on the way to drop me off. No one said anything so I assumed Jerica told Alec about my eyes.

"Did Dimitri not want to take you?" Jerica asked after a minute. I didn't want to answer that question so I just kept quiet. "Morgan?"

"Hmm?" I mumbled.

"Did Dimitri not want to take you?" She asked again.

"Oh, no he was too tired," I mumbled, not going into detail.

"How are you feeling now that you woke up out of your coma?" Alec joked.

"Okay, I'm not going to do that again," I said sarcastically but laughed with them.

"It sure was freaky seeing you in the air like that. It looked like you were a god or something," he said. I barked out a laugh. If I was a god then I would be able to leave my house for a while without getting grounded. Sure enough, all the lights in my house were still on.

"Thanks for taking me home. I owe you one," I said and got out of the car. The front door burst open and an angry looking dad was staring at me. I turned around and waved one last time because I knew I was going to be a dead man once I got inside.
