Funny thing about beginnings, You never know when they start, One day everything's normal, Next you have my heart, I thought I learned my lesson from the last time round, But once again I let myself down.
I should of been stronger, I should of said no, Saved all this time and heartbreak, If only I had known, When you strolled over, And took me by surprise, My heart was saying go But I should of said no.
Have you ever had that rush, From knowing something's no good, Yet you still crave it, Over and over again, It's completely selfish, It's completely cliché, Why couldn't of just said, What I wanted to say!
I should of been stronger, I should of said no, Saved all this time and heartbreak, If only I had known, When you strolled over, And took me by surprise, My heart was saying go But I should of said no.
Now it's nagging in my head, It's superior - it knows best, Telling me I was wrong, Forcing me to see damage I've done, From one tiny little question, I've destroyed so many lives, Because I took the easy route, The cowards way out.
