Again, sorry it took so long.

She threw the phone down onto the side of the bed and let her head slump forwards. Nate...? Why did he want Nate dead? Just then, the phone vibrated again. Without thinking, Connie picked up the phone and said, "Hello? Who is this?" "Hey, its Nate. Remember? I saw you a few minutes ago at the cafe." Connie's heart sank. She wasn't meant to be talking to him. At all. Ever. Weakly, she replied, "...Nate. How are you?" "erm... I'm ok thanks! Are you okay, Verity? You don't sound so good." "I-I'm fine. Just... Had a rough ride back. Feeling a bit queasy." Connie breathed a quiet sigh. She was thankful that she remembered her false identity. Nate quickly jumped at his opportunity, saying; " Hey! Where are you staying? I'll come over and see you! Maybe it'll make you feel better!" Connie snapped to attention. She could never let him find out where she was staying. Never. Connie lied and said she was staying in a motel south of 52nd West Street. Somewhat true, but mostly a lie. He sounded like a little lapdog, trying to contain his excitement as he said he was hurrying there. Meanwhile, Connie had begun to pack her bags to leave. It didn't take long. She always had a suitcase ready in case of... Emergencies. She was going to try and get out of town without HIM or Nate realising. Near impossible, but still worth a shot. She jumped into the back seat of the Comet after paying her bills, where a cold, clammy, leather clad hand clamped around her face. She heard the steady click of a gun being readied, and heard the oh so familiar voice whisper, "Going somewhere?"
