*hi again! Made a promise this would be up today so here ya go!*
Helena was blinded at once by the white starchy light, which had returned for an unwanted encore. Blindly, she stumbled around the room; trying to figure out what she was supposed to do was difficult enough. A small voice inside her head piped up, 'Run for the door!' It seemed like the best bet for now, so Helena gathered herself together and began to sprint for the door. Blocking the way, though, were two giant rotating and moving discs with points from every conceivable angle, each with a sharp knife point at the end. Common sense said if she tried to run between them, she would be torn to shreds. At that moment, the voice inside her head spoke again. 'Find a switch!' At this point, Helena had no other option but to listen to the voice and look for a switch. She searched high and low, near and far, but she couldn't see a switch. Dejectedly, she returned to the giant spinning death traps and slumped onto the floor. Without thinking, she looked up and saw what had been right in front of her all along: the damn switch. The only 2 problems were: 1) it was on the ceiling. 2) it was directly in the middle of the two spinning discs. While she had been looking for the switch in the first place she had noticed that the ground was covered with pebbles, some small and some large. She quickly hurried around, picked up the biggest one she could find and threw it at the switch. It hit the metal switch with a resounding ping, and the spinning circle things slowed to a stop. Glad it was finally over, she ran for the door and burst through on to the other side. "Congratulations! If you are hearing this, you have successfully passed the test! You will now be returned to your room."announced the booming voice. Helena breathed a sigh of relief and just as quickly as the room had disappeared, it reappeared. Once more, she took a seat on the bed. Looking out of the bay windows, she could see it was almost dark, so she tried to find a wardrobe out of the myriad of furniture in her room. When she eventually found it, she got changed into a silk nightgown. Exhausted from that day's traumatic events, she sank into the warm, soft bedsheets and fell into a fitful sleep.
