Ages ago in America, wild horses,Mustangs, skipped powerfully through the plains running away from those ranchers who tried to catch them. They would forage for food and water and make sure their siblings and fouls were fed and well. As time grew on more ranchers caught the mustangs and sold them off to other ranchers who again sold them off to and so on,when most of them were finally caught the rest starved there was no more food in the wild for them, untill when everyone thought the mustangs were all forgot about and nobody cared any more about ten turned up out of a narrow hollow bush carefully walking on the plains leaving their hooves marked in the ground. They travelled far and wide in search of food miles they went off and off into the countryside untill they reached round about my ranch. They lived around there for a while hiding away in the bushes from my father, he was a prize mustang catcher I made sure that he would never find out that the mustangs were in our creet.I needed to protect them for what they really are, I went out every night to take buckets of food no matter how much it killed me, I didn't Mind the steep or the heavy bags of food I wouldn't rest till I knew they were ok.The horse ran away from me at first but now I have a bond with them a special friendship but especially one a Abaco Barb the rarest horse in the world I called her Abby if my dad ever found out he would sell her off, those type of horse are worth millions of pounds so I kept my mustang secret kept a secret especially from my dad.I am Rosie borrowbay I live on a ranch with my brother Izac he hopes to run the ranch when he's older but I want it to my father says its best if my brother has it my father calls him the man of the house, my mum lives with us and of course my father.I kept the secret away from my father especially about Abby it went on for months untill one day Abby followed me past the creet and onto my ranch that was when my father looked through the windows and rushed outside, I didn't look behind I was wishing please please please don't be Abby but when I finally turned round it was.
" AN ABACO BARB"shouted my father running out of our ranch house "COME MEN LET'S GET IT" " MONEY IN MY HANDS"he shouted right at Abby's direction
"NO DAD" I shouted back.
But would he listan to me.
