The land machine One day, there was a little girl called poppy. Poppy lived in Melbourne in Australia. She lived with her mum and her koala Kambie. Poppy had long brown hair, blue eyes and always wore shorts and t shirts with a flower in her hair because she really likes flowers. One bright hot summer’s day, poppy was getting ready to go outside so Kambie could have a run around. When poppy went outside Kambie was acting very strange as she was trying to pull something out from under the leaves. Poppy ran up to Kambie, picked her up and pulled up the leaves. Poppy pulled out what looked like a rusty old boiler. Poppy wiped the dust away and there were loads of different buttons. Kambie started messing around with the buttons thinking it was funny .Kambie accidently pressed land five out of those 10 buttons. Unfortunately before Poppy could stop Kambie they were already swirling round in a colourful whirlpool not knowing what would happen next or where they were going at all. Suddenly the whirlpool stopped all of a sudden Kambie and Poppy fell right in front of a sign saying Gumball land. Kambie could smell the sweet Candy and without caring about poor Poppy, who was totally in shock, she ran straight into the land of the Gumballs. “Kambie STOP “Poppy shouted in absolute worry, as she picked herself of the ground, Kambie as you may of guessed didn’t listen one bit and carried on running After the small cheeky koala Poppy finally caught up with Kambie but before her eyes were thousands even millions of gumballs. Then a gumball came up to poppy and Kambie, the gumball was stripy, red and white, like a snowball. “Hi my names Kambie what’s your name”, pronounced the gumball happily as she smiled like a gumball would, “Well I am Poppy and this is my pet koala Kambie, where are we?, candy” “Oh yeah forgot to tell you we are in the land of gumballs kind of cool huh.” Candy, the gumball, said she would take them in for afternoon tea. Poppy and Kambie went to the door but unfortunaly Kambie ate the candy door down then a mother like gumball, who wore an apron, looked at them in worry . “Candy who is this darling!” candy’s mother shouted worriedly, as her lips trembled. “Oh mum there my friends, Poppy and Kambie,” said candy excitedly as she pointed to Poppy and Kambie. “Oh well in that case you better invite them for tea” “We’re from earth, do you know how we can get back,” Poppy said in worry as she hung herself in her head with sadness. “Oh dear I thought you knew,” said candy’s mum confused. “What do you mean, what is it,” said Poppy even more confused. “Well when you come to gumball land you can’t get back,” replied candy’s mum, uncomfortable telling the little girl, who was starting to cry. “But I want to go home and see my mum,” wept poppy as she burst into tears. “Oh I just remembered there is a way to get back, all you have to do is find the land machine,” told candy’s mum with a smile on her face. “I will help find the land machine,” shouted candy with a happy look on her face. “Well thank you candy,” replied poppy with a tremble in her voice. Suddenly there was a loud noise, it was coming from the gumball mall. Everybody was panicking and running around, but poppy just stopped and looked at the mall she thought to herself what if that is the land machine inside the gumball mall. Before even thinking poppy ran into the mall and Kambie followed her. They opened the doors of the mall and walked and there right before them was the land machine, they ran up to the land machine and pressed the button saying home sweet home, and in a flash they were back in there garden just like before. Poppy ran inside and her mum was serving tea. Poppy ran up to her mum and gave her a huge hug and said she loved her. The end
