This is an extract, not a full film!
About a girl at the beach you refuses to spend time with her older brother, when she sees the popular crowd on the same beach. She wants to do whatever they want so she can keep her cool that she got a few months back.
Abby: (In head) - I find myself looking in the mirror every day, every hour, for one reason only. That I can stay perfect, stay popular, stay proud. It may not be the real me, but the real me is embarrassing. I hope I can officially convert into the popular crowd and the coolness would come naturally. Tyler: You always loved surfing! I don't want to be one of the boys who hates there sister. You just want Jade and Kat to like you. Do you have to ditch our plans so you can spend time with them? Abby: Urgh, of course I do! Surfing is epic but I'm sure they'd hate it. I need to fit in! That's the new me. Tyler: I don't like this new you. Abby: Who asked what you think? (Fixes hair in picket mirror) Do you think you could pretend to be my boyfriend? They both have boyfriends. (reapplies lip gloss) Tyler: No way! I'm your big brother, and like you'd get a guy thats three years older than you. You're acting crazy an unfair now. Abby: Shut up and quit rowing! Please, for me? Tyler: Why should I? you've been treating me like crap ever since the start of year 8. I miss the old Abby. Abby: I'm just trying to fit in! (puts pocket mirror away and looks sympathetic) Tyler: Well your trying too hard and I don't like it. (throws surf board on floor and marches off) Abby: (sighs) Well, who cares! I am pretty much popular now! (sounds sad)
The end. X
