We bought some rock, from one of the many crappy souvenir shops across the front, And went down the stone steps to the part of the beach were nobody knows-the best part,yeah- And sat in silence sucking our sweets, til our tounges turned red and our breath smelt of sickly sweet peppermint...(more)
she turned round to me, with her brown hair tied up, and her fringe hanging down, where you could just see her floral print sunglasses protruding from the bottom, and grabbed me with one of her Cardigan covered hands.
And we fell backward onto the dense grey sand, and let the sea fill our ears, and the gritty sand fill my navy jeans and her denim shorts.
I met Lauren from Brighton bay! It was grey and overcast, and starting to rain, But Lauren, Lauren from Brighton bay! She more than made up for the weather that day.
We kissed, her thighs sliding up mine, and no-one knew where we were, on our private beach away from anyone else,
Soon we had to go in for our tea, but neither of us were hungry, and stayed on the sand til gone midnight.
We lit a fire and toasted marshmallows, in the pitch black with the sea rolling behind us, and when the stars started to sink in the sky, we went home, making plans to meet up again tomorrow, same time, same place.
I stood by the the stone steps by the pier for four solid hours, waiting for her to come and meet me. I was on the verge of tears and was about to go home when an old, rusty, Morris minor with a roofbox on top went past, and inside it I glimpsed a tearful, mascara run face of a girl.
Lauren! Lauren from Brighton bay! it was grey and overcast that day But Lauren! Lauren from Brighton bay! Had just come on holiday! Lauren! Lauren! Promise to come back someday..
