The loud laughter of the lunch room seems to be put on mute as my eyes scan the crowded room. He can't be here, he won't look here. My body feels tense, my mind becoming a nervous wreck. He won't find me, he can't be looking for me now. But I know he is. My eyes quickly scan the room once more, looking at every moving inch. There he is! No no, that's not him. Paranoid delusions race through my mind, my conscience playing brutal tricks on me. He can't be here, he can't find me.
My friends don't even notice my behavior, they just go on like nothing is happening, like nothing is haunting them. I realize my lack of reality, making the one mistake I swore not to make. My eyes snap up, looking around the room. My eyes freeze, my heart filling with fear as he stands there. He looks at me, his icy and bitter eyes looking into my mind and thoughts. No, no this can't be happening. I jump up, my chair skidding and falling over, a large bang quieting the room for only a second. My friends mouths move, yet their words don't seem to be heard. Before I can move a strong hand grips my arm and quickly drags me out of the lunch room. Oh no...he's found me.
