We started out as friends, But at a moments glance, We lended each others hearts to another, Forgetting our risks and taking a chance,
We got to know each other, You made me your world, Finally until that one day, You asked me to be you girl,
And as the many months passed, We began to get so close, Only wanting to be alone, Just to hold each other at the most,
And when that special night came, When you took my hand in yours, We danced at semi formal, Picking me over the other girls,
When the months after that came, You told me you loved me, That you would do anything to protect me, The smile I have you wanted to see,
When finally a year came, And that one special night, When our bodies entertained, Lust out of sight,
You held me close, But I couldn't help but remember the day, When the word "friends", Was all we dared to say,
