I heard a slow knock from outside my bedroom door.

"Young mistress, the mistress has summoned you to her room," I heard a voice say through the door. I groaned, putting my comb down.

"Anything else?"

"The mistress has requested that you appear presentable when meeting her," the voice said.

I clicked my tongue in annoyance. We haven't met for three weeks and that's her message? To look presentable? I paced around the room, trying to calm down and sat down heavily on my couch. I picked up my brush and continued brushing my long red hair.

After a while I changed into a plain white dress and tied up my hair into a ponytail. I walked out of my room and walked to the "mistress's" room.

As soon as I arrived infront of her room, i kicked it open.

"That's very rude," I heard a familiar voice, "Can't say I didn't expect it though."

She was sitting on a couch in the corner of the room reading a magazine. Her long blonde hair like silk across her shoulders, while her baby blue dress enveloped her more beautiful than average figure. I glared at her.

"What do you want from me Anne?" I hissed. She looked at me, trying to look hurt. When I didn't give in, her face brightened and she smiled.

"You look well Lily. Still won't show me respect, though. Where's your sister?" she asked, smiling that fake smile of hers. I stayed silent.

"C'mon, you should at least be able to do as much as reply to your mother when she asks," she said innocently. I hate her.

"She's in a friend's house," I said, calming myself down. If I blow up it'll be what she wants.

"Your brother?"

"As usual, I have no idea where he is."

I looked at her in the eyes, challenging her to counter my statement. She just smiled.

"So I heard that you're going to enter the music festival."

"W,Where did you hear that?"

"I have my sources dear."

"Don't you dare interfere!" I raised my voice. She can't ruin this one. Not when my friend is relying on me.

"What makes you think I would do that?"

"You've always been like that! You let us do nothing but classical music! It's boring and I hate it!"

"It is not!" she snapped, "Classical music is the foundation of almost all music. Why did you think we made you learn the classics? It's so that you would look sophisticated in front of other people."

Sophisticated? Excuse me? She wasted all those time she forced me to learn just so that pompous assed rich people would call me sophisticated?

"I can't believe you!" I shouted, "Is that all that you've been thinking about? Reputation? I don't want my music to be used for your petty motives!"

With that, I stormed out the room. Although I didn't look back, I could already see her shaking her head. It pisses me off! Pisses me off so much, godamit! I knew it! I hate her!

Thank god I left Cherry in Jinx's place today.
