"Where do you think you're going?" I heard a guy's voice. I looked back and found Trevor standing beside the women's bathroom's door. Jennifer blushed when she saw Trevor. He was leaning on the wall looking pissed.
"W-What are you doing there?" Jennifer stuttered.
"What did you think? I followed you of course! We were in the middle of a conversation until you rushed passed me to get princess, right there," he looked at me. Was Trevor jealous of me? Now this is interesting.
"T-that's cuz Hillary was bullying her!" Jennifer countered nervously. I looked at her. She was blushing and her hands were sweating. Trevor sighed and pushed his hair backwards messily. I looked at the both of them. There was definitely something going on between those two.
"Hillary, huh? Fine. If you're looking for Alex, he's right there. He was about to get some water but those old dudes stopped him. Look at him, he's so pissed, he can barely hide it anymore. What's he rushing about anyways?" Trevor said lazily. I looked at the crowd. Alex was surrounded by businessmen and he looked uncomfortably shifty. He was holding two glasses of water. Jennifer quickly pulled me to Alex. As soon as he noticed us, he excused himself from the crowd and came rushing.
"Are you okay? I saw Hillary talking to you just now. What did she say to you?" Alex asked worriedly. Jennifer opened her mouth to tell Alex but I interrupted her quickly.
"She was introducing herself!" I quickly said. Alex lifted one brow curiously and I squeezed Jennifer's hand. She seemed to get the message and stayed quiet. I seriously don't need Alex to scold Hillary and make her more annoying.
"Okay then," Alex said, unconvinced, "here's your water." He carefully handed me the warm water.
"Thanks," I said, taking a sip. Suddenly Trevor came and hugged Jennifer from behind, placing his chin on top of her head.
"W-What are you doing?" Jennifer nervously stuttered. She was blushing again. Trevor laughed out loud as Jennifer nervously tried to get away. alex stood beside me laughing too. Trevor pulled Jennifer away from the crowd after announcing to everyone that he was kidnapping her. I looked around to find disgusted glares thrown to Trevor. It seems that Alex noticed too cuz he immediately pulled me away to the corner of the room.
"Don't mind them. Those people are just stuck up," Alex said as if he was apologizing for them. I stared at him.
"Don't act like that. You're not one of them. You're different," I said, unconciously showing him a worried look. A gentle smile appeared on his face and for a second there I thought I was starting to like him.
"Thanks!" he said, quickly kissing me on the forehead. I could feel jealous glares stab through my back as my face burned bright red. I stepped on his foot in response.
"Ouch! What was that for?" Alex pouted. I started to open my mouth to explain just how wrong it was to do that before a group of angry girls came. Oh, God.
"What are you doing?" a voice that I recognized to be Hillary said. Just then, I felt someone grab my arm, pulling me away from Alex. "Hey!" Alex complained as he pulled me back, "What do you think you're doing?"
"We're just trying to help you! this girl probably just wants your money," Hillary said, leading the group. "She doesn't have anything and she doesn't suit you!"
I winced at her words. I wonder which part hit me harder. The 'doesn't have anything' part or the 'doesn't suit you' part. I stayed silent in reply, staring blankly at her. It looks like my reaction pissed her off cuz she immediately started throwing insults at me.
"Hey, stop!" Alex said, finally getting sick of Hillary's screaming.
"Why are you stopping me? Who is she to you?" Hillary demanded. I looked at Alex's nervous face as he tried to find an answer.
"She's my, umm," Alex mumbled nervously as Hillary glared at him.
"Well?" Hillary demanded smugly. I saw Alex twitch in annoyance when he saw Hillary's face.
"She's my girlfriend," Alex blurted. What? I looked at him in horror. He grabbed my hand and held it to emphasize his point and I tightened my grip to show my dissaproval.
"What?" Hillary gasped, speaking my thoughts.
"Yup, she's my girlfriend. I actually brought her here today to introduce her," He replied in a serious tone.
"No, you're lying! If it's true, then prove it!" Hillary denied, getting bright with anger. Alex swallowed, "How?"
"Kiss her!" Hillary dared. Oh hell no! Where are we now? Elementary school?
"Fine!" Alex accepted. He immediately grabbed my waist, pulled me close against him and used his other hand to tip my chin up. Then, before I could complain, I felt his lips press against mine, making me lose my strength to struggle. I could feel my face burning up again. Oh my god. He is so going to get it later. I used my remaining strength to step on his foot and he immediately let go. I closed my eyes shut in embarrasment as Alex pulled me in and held me. I quickly buried my face on his chest to hide from all the stares from the crowd.
"There! Satisfied now?" Alex quickly said before rushing out of the room, dragging me along. He grabbed a card from Trevor quickly on the way out and I could hear Trevor whistle in the distance as Alex sped up. I kept looking down the whole time, hiding my face. Finally Alex stopped in front of a door, swiped the card and opened it, quickly pulling me inside. As soon as he closed the door, Alex stood in front of me and fell to a squating postion, looking at the ground and scratching his head.
