Last week my sister decided she was not in love with her fiancé and called off her wedding. So I thought to cheer her up I'd take her and my mother out for the day. Just 3 women spending the day in each others company. When I settled on the zoo as the destination for our trip it occurred to me that this would be the only outing I can remember that did not in anyway involve shopping. This realisation stuck me as sad, the fact that as far as i can remember the 3 of us have never spent any real time together. That's why I'm determined that today's trip will be the first of many so that I can bring the 3 of us back to the close unit we were back when it was just the 3 of us before mum re-married and extended our family beyond just us. We 3 have had no easy times in life but i think of the accomplishments we have managed divided and wonder what miracles we can achieve standing strong together, the power of 3 against the world.
