Oven temp. 200c

Cooking time 20 – 25 mins

2 eggs

8 oz sugar

4 oz butter

A generous ¼ pint of creamy milk

6 ½ oz plain flour

3 teaspoons baking powder

3 or – 4 apples

Whisk eggs and sugar together until thick.

Melt the butter in a small saucepan and heat together with the milk

Pour into the sugar/egg mix and stir until blended

Add the flour and baking powder, mix then

Pour all into a lined tin

Top with sliced apple and then sprinkle 1oz approx. sugar over the top

Bake in the centre of the oven Leave to cool and cut into squares
