The big lemon moon rose high above the clouds It's soft glow the only light All the children tucked up in bed Hiding from the night
The lemon moon was lonely He was jealous of the sun For the night was full of darkness and gloom Yet, the day was filled with fun
He longed to see the children play And laugh with all their friends But the children would be fast asleep Until the long night ends
The moon sighed sadly and looked around the sky When he noticed a little star "You are not alone" the star said "For i am never far! "
The moon and the star got talking And the moon began to smile It's great to have some company, he thought It has certainly Been a while!
The moon felt himself lowering The sun was on her way So the moon and the star went elsewhere To end another day
