The boulder impacted me with a loud thud. After that I didn't really know what else happened. When I woke up, Jack was holding me and looking at me worriedly. "Kitty?! Kitty! How many fingers am I holding up." Holding my head I squinted. Then pushed his hand out the way. "Don't care as long as its not the middle one." I replies quite bluntly. Jack just laughed. He got me to drink some water before helping me up. "What..?" I whispered. "He ran off." Jack began explaining. "Forest. But I think his weakness is sunlight. Before he went of I heard a sizzling." Chuckling, I said jokingly but weakly "Heh, maybe he needs some sun cream." Jack laughed again. Such an amazing laugh. Carefully I tried walking, but collapsed and screamed out in pain. Quickly Jack lifted me up. "Looks like I'll have to fight it myself." he said. When he said that I started spazzing out, flailing my arms and kicking my legs. "NO. NO FREAKIN' WAY." I yelled. "I'm fine! You just worry to much!" I yelled. I love you, Jack. And if anything hurt you.. I'd die. I wanted to say it. But I couldn't. "You can't even walk. I'll be fine." Pouting, I looked at him. "Promise?" I said. In reply he just nodded. Not good enough. "Look me in the eyes and swear on my life." When I said that, he hesitated slightly. ".... I swear on your life." Hesitation. Means he's not sure. "Fine. But I'm coming with you. I'll just be invisible in case you need help. I'll be fine." Reluctantly he accepted my offer and we headed off into the deep forest. His arm was wrapped around my shoulders do I didn't fall again. Silence. Like nothing was alive except us. Then I heard something. Charging at us, it was a deer.. Or a buck. Whatever it was, it didn't look normal. Target found. Quickly I pushed Jack out the way an disappeared. "Good luck." I called out before vanishing. Then kissing his cheek in my vanished form. Whether he noticed or not I don't know. Quickly a battle unfolded. Mind blasts, charges, everything. How could I help? I looked for every way possible but there was none. Except the trees. Concentrating once more, I started disappearing and reappearing up a tree. Mr Hughes then transformed into a monkey like creature and started chasing me. "No! Kitty look out!" cried Jack. I already knew. I could hear its heavy breathing and huge hands. I got to the tree top, but what now? The sunlight was blazing. How could I-- But I was stopped in thought. A huge hand grabbed me from nowhere and threw me to the floor. Screaming, I closed my eyes and clenched my fists. Then I turned in the air and opened my eyes do I was facing downwards. Immediately Jack noticed and ran to catch me. Holding me in his arms again. Just like those kisses. Just a quick one. I leaned in, just one.. But I heard a thud behind me. I turned and saw him again. Transforming into a crocodile like creature, he whipped his tail to the side so the trees fell. It was going to fall on us. I tried to disappear but it didn't work. Everytime I tried. We looked at each other. This could be the last time. I went to him, grabbed his head and kissed him. Right on the lips. Held it there. Waiting for my fate. But it never happened. Jack was holding up the tree with his mind. Or at least i thought it was. He was holding it up.. Himself! I pulled away and stared in amazement. Wow. So strong. How could he..? Perhaps he's using his mind to help him. Then he threw it the side. No effort. Trees were impacted and fell, revealing a pool of sunlight. Mr Hughes shrieked as the sunlight hit him. Then he ran for cover. Quickly, I concentrated and repeatively reappeared around the edge of the sunlight pool, causing it to look like millions of clones of myself barricaded the pool. Screaming, shrieking, shaking. Mr Hughes started to melt. I hated watching, but it had to be done. Leaving someone like that in the wild would have devastating effects. Bang! He exploded. Blood splattered everywhere. Ew. Jack walked over with a huge smile on his face. We did it! "How did you lift that tree by yourself?" I asked. It was so cool! He just shrugged. "I dunno. But there's something I do know. We need to get cleaned up." He said, walking in the direction of the cabin. Then I saw it. A huge gash through his back. "Oh my God! Jack!" I screamed. Jack turned and looked. "Yeah?" "Your back! It's.. Covered in blood! You've been hurt!" Jack shrugged like it was nothing. Boys can be so stupid sometimes. I ran over and took of my shirt. His shirt. Whatever. He'd seen me in a bikini before so what's the difference. I wrapped the shirt around his wound like a bandage to stop the blood flow. "Better?" I asked. He nodded and smiled, wrapping his arm around me. "Your a great friend. You know that?" he said as he squeezed my shoulders. I smiled and nodded. "Yeah, same to you." I replied. We started heading to the cabin, talking and joking around like nothing had happened. Great friend. I'd rather be girl friend.
