THE SHARP TIP OF THE PEN (A tale for K.D.)
The king had locked the dreamer in a prison cell. He can't tolerate a man who had decided to dedicate his life to worship of dream. The dreamer was dangerous, always imaging things in a different, more beautiful way.
A true king not only rules his kingdom, he has to shape it. So the dreamer had to die. The dreamer hadn't to be killed, everybody would had known who to blame.
The king knew that stubborn dreamers had one and only weakness. So he planned a cruel trick.
He told the dreamer that there was a penpal who wanted the dreamer to write her a letter. The dreamer agreed, so this way began their friendship. Penpals became friends. Friends became long distance lovers.
The king only allowed the dreamer to use one inkwell each time for every letter he wrote. He could use it till the ink ran dry. Only then the inkwell would be refilled.
The king read every letter before it was given to the dreamer. He waits until the day penpals swore their love to each other.
That was the day the inkwell wasn't refilled.
One week after, one eagerly passionate letter from the fake penpal was given to the dreamer at last.
When the dreamer finished reading the letter, there was a long hour when he considered his own naked wrist. And a brief moment when he noticed the sharp tip of the pen.
