Gently walking across the edge of the sea, Feeling safe, as you're close to me,

We watch the flickering sunlight dance, As evening comes, we become entranced,

The sun is feeling tired now, he knows he must rest soon, And when he sleeps, and darkness comes, it's time for Mr. Moon,

We watch our footprints wash away, A touch of sadness, nothing to say,

Nature happens, the tide never waits, It doesn't stop, never loves or hates,

The rippling patterns are shrinking now, the sun, sinking down, The drifting clouds are slowing, soon night will wear the crown,

We seem under the ocean's spell, we seem unable to move, Except touching the silky sand, feeling every grain, every groove,

We sit here, watching today end, and the making of tomorrow begin, As nighttime works it's wonders, we'll be sleeping in,

For now, all that matters is us, and as the moon's colour will fill, This time, this place, for us right now, the world is standing still.
