I woke up to 28 missed calls and 14 text messages from Carmen and Taylor. I looked at the alarm! OMG I am 2 hours late for school. I got dressed very quickly and grabbed my phone. I texted Taylor first.
OMG Taylor, I'm 2 hours late for school! -Annie
Becca got in a wreck, she was on her way to school and a car ran out and hit her. She just got admitted to the hospital an hour ago. It's not good Annie. I'm so scared! Have your mom drive you to the hospital. -Taylor
Omg ok um..I'll be there in a minute! -Annie
I was freaking out! I didn't know what to do. I was so scared. I ran downstairs and got my Mom. "Mom! This is important! Becca got in a wreck! Take me to the hospital now!" I yelled. Without saying a word my Mom and I got in her car and drove to the hospital. I opened the car door and slammed the door shut hard and ran into the hospital. I ran up to the main desk and Asked where Becca was. "I'm sorry, but she isn't allowed having visitors right now." "NO! She is my best friend, you have to let me see her! Please!" "I'm sorry, I can't do that." I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder. It was Carmen. "Annie, it's ok. Let's go sit down with the rest of her friends and family." Carmen said. My mom and I walked over to the waiting room with Carmen. I had tears running down my cheeks. I probably looked crazy but I didn't care. Becca is my best friend and I don't want anything to happen to her. We waited for what seemed like hours but was really just a few minutes. I didn't say a word to anyone. I just kept replaying events of me and Becca in my mind and praying she would be all right. Finally at around 5p.m. the doctor came in the waiting room and announced something. "She was very lucky. She survived with just 4 broken ribs. A dislocated right shoulder and her left wrist was sprained and her right ankle was sprained and she also had a concussion but she will be fine. She just needs a lot of rest. She is now allowed to have visitors." Doctor Shield told us. "Oh, thank god." I whispered. Everyone started hugging each other and I got up and hugged Taylor and Carmen. Becca's parents went in the room first and when they came out after awhile they told me I could come in. So I did. I slowly walked into the door and I caught a glimpse of Becca. Her skin looked very pale, more than usual. She had scratches on her face and had on a arm sling. When I stepped all the way in I saw the rest of what she looked like. She looked terrible. I came in and sat on the chair beside the hospital bed. "Becca...." I whispered. ------------------------------------------- Cliffhanger!! Ok, what did you guys think?
