- First Impressions

Stood looking like royalty they all waved, the youngest girl came running down the stairs and right into Sven's arms, hugging every brother one by one she then came to me. She looked deep into my eyes and curtsied, her baby blonde hair fell just below her waist, almost like mine except for my curls and colour. As she stood she held out her hand and and spoke.

"Oh Ava! I've heard so much about you, I just couldn't wait to meet you. I'm Josephine."

I shook her hand lightly and smiled.

"Well Josephine I hope all you heard was good!" I giggled slightly "If you don't mine me asking, how old are you?"

She looked at Sven who currently was stood to the left of me and smiled.

"I'm ten."

Shocked I looked at Sven who was now laughing... Was he mad! He'd turned a ten year old!

Josephine spoke again.

"Don't worry Ava, I'm not like you, I'm fully human."

Part of me relaxed but still some tension was trapped inside of me. Why did he have a mortal girl within his clan. I didn't want to make any more impressions, I'd ask more about it later.

I smiled back at Josephine. "Well unfortunately for me I haven't heard a thing about you and your family!"

Just as Josephine was about to reply Sven interrupted us.

"You too can talk more once were ON the plane! Come on Ava, Time to meet my Parents."

He snaked an arm around my waist, his cold hands felt icy against my bare back, he led me up the stairs and into the small cabin. By the door stood a middle aged lady wearing a long navy dress and a little white jacket. She welcomed me and introduced herself as Raine and her husband Hans. Now inside the plane, Josephine beckoned me over to sit with her. I did quite happily. I soon realised I hadn't met the last Daughter, she didn't look like she was in her teens, maybe a little older. I noticed her sat over by Fred. I asked myself if I really wanted to go over there but I plucked up the courage to do so. As soon as I arrived I noticed something a little strange, Fred had his arm around her waist, they were sharing a bottle of champagne. Fred must've realised I was staring because he introduced her.

"Oh Ava, you haven't met my Wife." I paused there... His WIFE! Oh my it all made sense now, why he'd always been the quiet one. The girl shook my hand.

"Kate." She seemed a little sour but I didn't blame her, I hadn't been the friendliest of guests so far. The. I spotted her Necklace, it was bright Blue and shaped like the moon. Surprisingly it looked ever so cheap, how come I had to wear uncomfortable earnings and rings when this girl got to wear cheap stuff.

"Hi." I just smiled and returned to where me and Josephine were sitting.

As I sat down Josephine giggled, she'd seen our conversation.

"Nice one." She smiled. "Don't worry, Kate'll come around, she's one of those vampires who take their time warming to people."

Just then my phone buzzed again, it was Rose.

**Sorry for the late reply, Turning the new ones. I guess you've met the family, Now I need you find out something bout the Young one. The HUMAN one. I need to know about her Biological family. R x**

**Sure, been talking to her a lot, she seems to like me. Also met Kate... What's up with her...? A x**

Josephine asked who I was texting, thankfully Sven came over and offered me the seat next to him before I could reply. I accepted and told Josephine I had something important to ask Sven. She winked at me, I just gave her a funny look.

Just as we were setting off Sven asked me about the note.

"Did you get my note last night?"

I had to think on my feet. Good thing I could act.

"Oh.. Shit, I left it in the caravan, in my draw... Why what was it?" Part of this I didn't have act, I really was curious about the note but he wasn't exactly my favourite brother that night...

"Oh, nothing. It was just my way of asking you to drive with me earlier." I could tell he was disappointed. After a minuet or two of silence I asked Sven his age. His human age and his true age.

"Well I was turned at twenty one... But I'm five hundred and seventy four. He closed his eyes and opened them again a few seconds later. " and what about you?"

"Well I'm officially 67 tomorrow but I want you to guess my turning age."

He half laughed... He looked deep into my eyes and my heart started burning, not a painful burning, it was actually quite amazing. I felt my body start to warm and I smiled, it'd been years since I'd felt this human. Then I blinked... And that was it, that feeling was gone. When I reopened my eyes Sven was facing forwards again. He was frowning. Neither of us spoke for at least half an hour. And then Sven turned to face me rapidly.

"You're fourteen."

I looked at him suspiciously, he looked sad.

"Yes, how did you know?"

He took my hand, his eyes were truly apologetic.

"I'm sorry Ava, I shouldn't have made you do all that, You know, get changed in front of me and everything. I thought you were much older."

I settled back into my chair and stroked the velvet dress.

"It's fine, I can deal with it. I smiled meekly at the ground."

We didn't speak again for the rest of the flight.
