Now you'd think, this isn't strange,
It's just a toad, nothing deranged.
But as I tried to walk down the track,
My feet wouldn't let me,
They're pulling me back.
The little creature began to hop into the shrubs,
I had to follow my feet chose to judge.
Through the forest, a dark wet place,
My legs sped up, I felt my heart race.
The bluey-green hole shimmered before me,
And just then my feet stopped, you see,
The toad was not quite a toad but a frog,
This I knew the instant he leaped into the bog!
Off my feet went, what a surprise,
Then came the moment I went to dive,
Head first into the lake,
Now I worried,
My life was at stake.
The water filled my lungs,
By god it stung.
I began to panic,
Death had not won.
Soon the blackness filled my mind,
This sure was the weirdest way to die... Not yet...
