I didn't have a lot of knowledge about the original serious before watching this. All I knew was the two main characters were cops. So I was completely unbiased watching this.
From the trailer I expected a comedy with action. And I got that with a decent plot behind it.
The main thing I can say is there are quite a few funny scenes in the film were you will laugh out loud, but some comedic scenes are cliques really. I think that this movie was targeting a young audience and not so much former 21 Jump Street fans. The acting wasn't bad. Nothing to complain about. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum were the two main cops. Both actors were very funny, which is surprising as I never knew Channing Tatum could do comedy movies. Dave Franco plays a big part in this film, and he plays the part well. The action wasn't bad. There wasn't too many up in your face explosions nor was there too many gun fights. The one thing a can say bad though is that the original fans of the show will possibly be let down by the humour and plot maybe. Funny film. 6.5 out of 10.
