Growing up all I heard from people my age is "haha my dad say music my age is desperate" or "pfft, grandpa doesn't like our music" and whenever that has been said I was likely to agree without realising what I was actually saying. Music this day and age is in all fairness.. Crap. From pop-rappers who have a couple of rhyming words with a catchy chorus from the likes of Tinie Tempah or Laybrinth or many of the pop acts that should (I hope) just fade away in years to come. The only music that is good this day and age is either the ones that stay number 1 for a long time eg. Adele, Christiana Perri, Eminem, Mumford and Sons, etc or in more infamous cases, the acts you find singing along to a webcam on YouTube have decent voices with somewhat good songs. It's just our society has dubstep, pop-rap and a lot more dodgy genre's. What I'm NOT saying here is that all of the music nowadays is bad. Just the popular stuff. Rant over.
