Recently I seen the avengers, the day after it came out. I had high expectations for this film because all the hype surrounding it not to mention all my heroes growing up in one film which I thought was just amazing. So what I got from this film is everything I expected. And more. Surprisingly enough, this film blew my expectations completely without a doubt. For those who are unaware, The Avengers is a superhero based action where a couple of comic book heroes from marvel need to join together to fight an enemy known as Loki. Captain America, a super soldier from world war 2 frozen and brought back in the future. The hulk, known as Bruce banner when not in his huge, green rage form where he destroys everything in his path. Black widow, a very smart, flexible, spy with expertise in handheld weaponry. Thor, a god, son of Odin as he so often says, with super strength he also has a magical hammer with the power of lightening that only he can lift. And then there's my favourite character in the movie, Iron Man. No special powers, no magical hammer. Iron man is a rich, genius also hilarious man in a metal suit, covered with weapons and smart technology.
I think many believe that Hulk was the best character as he is definitely a great character in this film. From his super strength fights, to his hilarious moments be has throughout the film, not to mention Bruce Banner played by Mark Ruffalo is done brilliantly. The best Bruce Banner I have seen to date.
This film has action, a lot of it. But not too much too much. It has some funny moments with genuine laughter. Great special effects, which needs not mentioning. The acting was immense from all actors, and it works so well because each and every superhero in this film are a strong personality. So it's easy for them not to get along at times. Which I loved.
The avengers, as I said, lived up to its expectations and more. Amazing action/comedy. Stay clear of all the people who assume its just explosions just because of the hype. It is a great film, with competition for Movie of the year. Possibly.
