I await on a bench for his arrival. I look around and busy myself with my phone to see if he texted. Finally I see him walk up to me.
He needed to go to work soon but I insisted on meeting him at the mall. We walk to the game store and ask about the arrival of his new Xbox. Not available yet.
He leaves after I agree to get it. I go back to get the same results. They tell me it would come soon so I waste my time at the mall...
I see Ale and she asks me what I'm doing. After a long explanation I can see a disgusted yet puzzled look on her face. She never approved of him and not only could I see why, it was always comforting.
We walk around the mall together for a while before I go back to the store to check on his order. They said it was already claimed.
I text him but I get no reply. I call him with no answer. I continue to hang around with her until her texted me.
Apparently he already claimed it without my knowledge and had been playing it all day.
An oh-so familiar anger took hold of me. I began to type...
'so... You got your Xbox 720... You didn't tell me... You didn't ask me to come see it... And you didn't even go to work like you said you were... Fuck you. Fuck your damn car. Fuck your life. I'm done.'
I send the text and lean back on the bench. Ale looks over to me in a curious fashion.
"Looks like I'm available."
I wake up in wonderment of how my dream self went back into a relationship with his dream version... Well, a brief one...
