This poem is sort of a tribute to all the people, places, songs and ideas that have inspired me throughout the years. Some are direct quotes, others more abstract.

To the Boy with a Coin drinking Iron and Wine That dripped from his lips and watered his vines To the Blimp in my Room, pushing up at my roof That carries my eyes as they search for the truth To Sampson the Judge and the God he betrayed For the sake of a girl who shaved him a grave To the Man on the Floor with a beak in his heart With bells in his mind that tolled him to depart To the Man with a Bird that sat on a line Who said he would fly, but knew he was lying To the Unknown Children in their Unknown Homes Who are damned from the day they step into their bones To the Girl I Once Knew with the fog in her eyes Who asked me if I knew how ants lived their lives To the Teachers who taught me to pour life in the fold Of papers and pages with stories untold To the Feathers that Fell from a low-flying bird Who crashed in the glass of a meaningful word To you Saints and you Sinners who've lent me your voice To write of the reasons and wrongs of my choice I'm just a Child who was lost in your songs And found, there, the words that let me move on.
