Chapter 1
It's an average day in the office. I'm a PI by the way. Not much goes on in this small town, though. God I wish something would happen and soon.
'Headin' home soon, Pete?' asks my partner Ed. He's new so he doesn't understand that no matter how boring this is, you can't leave until 5pm.
'Ed how many times do I have to tell you the rules' I reply, 'no one leaves until 5' he mimics. We spend the next half hour discussing everything and anything not to do with our unbelievably slow day. Actually every day is unbelievably slow. Anyways, everything changes when a woman walks into the room. Tall, dark hair, brown eyes, not unusual as thats just about what everyone here looks like. What really interests me was that she doesn't say a word, just puts a package on the table and leaves.
'What the hell!?' Ed exclaims as there is nothing in the package, except some writing. 'I have a case for you' it reads. Very curious as there is nothing else in the package. Nothing.
